10 August 2016 – Enterprise Agreement Approved

Dear Colleagues

I am pleased to advise you that on 8 August 2016 the TAFE Commission of NSW Administrative, Support and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement 2016 (AG2016/1672) was approved by the Fair Work Commission (FWC). The new Enterprise Agreement will 'operate' from 15 August 2016.

This means that TAFE will process the agreed 2.5% pay increase and will pay this on 25 August 2016, including the increase applied from 1 July 2016.

What's next?

Now that the Agreement is approved, there are several steps before we can transition to the new classification structure:

  1. For the remainder of 2016, the current conditions, allowances and Flexible Working Hours Agreement will still apply.
  2. In the coming months, the implementation team will prepare TAFE HR systems to make sure everyone moves across seamlessly into the new structure.
  3. The new classification structure, Enterprise Agreement and Flexible Working Hours Agreement will apply from early 2017.
