After close to three months of bargaining meetings and over 18 months consultation, TAFE NSW has finalised a new version of the Enterprise Agreement for Administrative, Support and Related Employees.
Today, we concluded our sixth session of bargaining. TAFE NSW has responded to the union log of claims, listened to staff feedback and made even further changes to our proposal. We now feel that this is a fair and reasonable proposal that we can take to ballot.
A reminder of what TAFE NSW is offering
TAFE NSW is offering a 2.5% wage increase backdated to July 2015. The Government has informed TAFE NSW that this back pay offer will not be extended beyond this date if the vote is unsuccessful.
That's why we believe it is important for you to have the opportunity to vote for this increase and back pay.
A ballot will be called
A ballot will be held from 10 to 16 September. You will receive an email on 2 September from the Managing Director which will explain the voting process and contain links to all the information you will need to inform your vote. When the time comes, your vote will count and the future of TAFE NSW very much depends on a successful ballot.
