19 June 2015 – Email about EB session 1

Joint Communiqué arising from TAFE Administrative, Support and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement bargaining session of 18 and 19 June 2015

Dear colleagues,

Bargaining representatives from TAFE NSW, the Community and Public Sector Union/Public Service Association, United Voice, the Australian Workers' Union – Port Kembla Branch and a self-nominated bargaining representative met on 18 June and 19 June to commence bargaining for the TAFE Commission of NSW Administrative, Support and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement 2015.

The parties set out their key objectives and interests for the 2015 round of bargaining, which included discussion around the inclusion of a contemporary classification structure into the agreement. Negotiation in relation to the contemporary classification structure is still ongoing.

TAFE NSW has agreed to provide further details of its proposal in the next bargaining session. The CPSU/PSA indicated it may be in a position to table its proposals at the subsequent meeting.

The next bargaining session is scheduled for 1 and 2 July 2015.

Any questions in relation to this communiqué can be directed to employee and/or employer bargaining representatives.
