The shiny new Learning Resource Hub at Mudgee TAFE was officially opened last Friday 18 November.

The building, which was completed three months ago, is the new home for the campus' administration, library, kitchen, student counselling services, computer labs, lecture rooms, video conference areas, lounge area and even a heavy vehicle classroom.

"This is exactly how the future of TAFE could and should look right across the state and I'm very pleased Mudgee is at the forefront of providing this kind of facility," Member for Dubbo, Troy Grant, told the Mudgee Guardian and Gulgong Advertiser.

The new building is also an impressive example of sustainable architecture and technology, giving it a five-star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.

"This building is about sustainability," said acting Director of TAFE Western, Adam Bennett. "This is a very impressive piece of work that provides what would be one of the most environmentally sustainable buildings in NSW."
