Who: Former TAFE Sydney fashion graduate Nicky
Zimmermann started selling her designs at Sydney's Paddington Markets
in the early 1990's. The quality fabric and flattering cuts used in
her designs won her a steady following and lead to a career launching
feature in Australian Vogue. In 1991 Nicky partnered with her sister
Simone to create the brand Zimmermann, the power siblings have gone on
to find international success, winning multiple fashion awards
including the Australian Fashion Laureate and Best Swim Designer -
Prix de Marie Claire.

Who: TAFE Sydney fashion graduate Johnny Schembri
appeared on Season 3 of Project Runway Australia and launched his

Alex Perry is
arguably one of Australia's most famous fashion designers. His love of
drawing and glamour led him to study fashion design at Sydney TAFE in
the mid 1980's. In 1992, Alex Perry opened his
first atelier, creating bespoke made-to-measure designs with a focus
on corsetry and tailored sheaths. In 2004 he launched his incredibly
successful self-titled ready to wear collection.
