Outbound opportunities

TAFE students in Mudgee and neighbouring districts have been offered life-changing opportunities to study in China and India.

The overseas study tours have become available through the Outbound Mobility Program which receives its funding from the Federal Government. Students enrolled in Certificate IV or Diploma level courses in nursing, business and management, welfare, children's services and society and culture are eligible. There are 50 places available.

"We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer these exhilarating, once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunities to TAFE Western students in Mudgee and the local region," Brad Polak, Business Capability Unit director, told theĀ Mudgee Guardian & Gulgong Advertiser.

It's also the first time students will be travelling to India as part of the Program. Students studying society and culture will spend time at India's Centurian University of Technology and Management."These study trips really are amazing learning opportunities for our students," Mr Polak said. "They get to develop important and unique techniques while soaking up an entirely different culture."
