Hunter TAFE student Sally Paull, Singleton, wins at The Australian Wool Fashion Awards with tribal-themed wearable art.

Pursuing her passion has paid off for Hunter TAFE student, Sally Paull. The Singleton local has been awarded the inaugural prize winner for Wearable Art at The Australian Wool Fashion Awards.
 
Taking inspiration from Japanese movie 'Princess Mononoko', Sally's creation hit the creative brief and landed her the prize.

Fashion was not Sally's first study option. The TAFE NSW student began studying a Bachelor of Engineering Degree at university before deciding it wasn't for her.
 
Her passion for sewing and creating fancy dress led her to enrol in an Advanced Diploma in Fashion as Hunter TAFE. When interviewed by the Singleton Argus Sally says "I realise now that art and creating fashion is want I want to do for my career – it might have taken a few years to get here but I am loving the work".
