TAFE NSW sparks brighter future for automotive students

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at Sydney TAFE on 30 March 2016 by Jon Black, Managing Director, TAFE NSW and Greg Patten, CEO, Motor Traders' Association (MTA) of New South Wales has sparked a brighter future for the automotive industry.

Both organisations will work together to expand training services to capture a greater market share from automotive competitors in NSW and beyond.

The collaboration will increase the delivery of TAFE NSW courses, using our training facilities for the delivery of specific programs and provide better pathways for automotive students.

According to Peter Gostelow, Manager, TAFE NSW Industry Liaison Unit – Automotive & ForestWorks

"This is industry and education working together – forming a strong educational link with an automotive industry association; exploring advocacy and automotive resourcing opportunities to reduce the cost of training and improve industry input for the effective training of automotive apprentices in NSW".
