What is a Training Needs Analysis (TNA)?

A Training Needs Analysis is an analysis of the training required to improve your business. We do this by talking to you, understanding your needs, and matching the training to your business; building a relationship with you. Taking the time to do this ensures the training provided adds to employee skills already attained, and equips employees with qualifications your business may not currently have. Contact us today on 1300 045 737 to organise a free TNA with one of our experienced consultants.

What are the benefits of flexible training solutions?

We understand that your business is not always 9 to 5 and run in traditional school hours. We also know that you need to keep your business running. The training we offer at TAFE NSW will fill skills gaps in your business quickly and easily, is flexible, and can be delivered where and when you need it. This means part-time, full-time, on campus, on-line, workplace, and blended learning is available. We will work with you to plan timing, location, and training delivery, as well as off-the-job training components to meet your business needs.

What are compliance based training packages?

Your business investment in training is a long term decision in both money and time. To ensure you get the most value for your training dollar, all our courses and qualifications at TAFE NSW are nationally recognised and align with your industry requirements and regulations.

What are the 4 simple ways to study?

Choose an option that’s right for you. We have 4 simple ways to study: on campus, online, in your workplace or customised training. At TAFE NSW our training is flexible and can be delivered where and when your business needs it. To discuss training types and the course availability please contact us on 1300 045 737.

What are the training locations?

TAFE NSW has over 130 locations across the state, however this is just one of four delivery modes that we offer to business. We also offer training online, in your workplace and customised training to ensure we can deliver training where and when you need it.

Recognition of Prior Learning

What is Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL)?

You don’t always have to start at the beginning. Have you previously studied, worked or gained important life experiences and want them to go towards your training at TAFE? TAFE NSW offers pathways that recognise your prior learning, which means you can decrease the amount of subjects and time you need to spend at TAFE. The process is easy and personalised. Simply call us on 1300 045 737 and we can then take you through the process step by step. It’s as easy as that.

Are all TAFE NSW courses offered online?

TAFE NSW offers a wide range of certificates to advanced diplomas, short courses and even graduate qualifications delivered entirely online. However, depending on your specific course, some units may require the following study options: full-time, part-time, flexible, on campus, or in your workplace. Call us on 1300 045 737 to find out more.

What are my payment options?

Payment Options:

TAFE NSW courses can be government-subsidised or provided on a ‘fee-for-service’ basis. A fee applies for most TAFE NSW courses and must be paid when you enrol. The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. TAFE NSW provides a wide range of pay-as-you-go and instalment payment options

Payment Methods:

You can also pay through the student portal using a credit card. Through the Student Portal you may also generate a statement and pay via BPay through your bank's internet or phone banking service. Please note: cash is not accepted.

For more information on payment options please call us on 1300 045 737.

Financial Assistance for Employers? (FEES)

We can help you access Government funding. There are multiple options for financial assistance available for employers and we can help you discover the best option for your business. Contact our consultants directly on 1300 045 737 for advice and support in gaining the Government funding you may be entitled to.

Unique Student Identifier

What is a Unique Student Identifier (USI)?

A Unique Student Identifier or USI is made up of 10 numbers and letters which gives you access to an account that contains your completed training records and results. A USI will help you provide evidence of your studies when you apply for a job or undertake further study. If you are a student studying nationally-recognised training at a registered training organisation like TAFE NSW, you will need to have a USI. The USI will give you ongoing access to your records and results, so they are always available if you choose to enrol in further training or need to show a future employer. When you register for the USI, you also need to give permission for your TAFE NSW institute to view your USI and access your records.
