As part of City of Newcastle’s COVID-19 Community and Economic Resilience Package, TAFE NSW is offering a range of online accredited training programs with the objective of upskilling local businesses. Each course has been specifically designed to provide Newcastle Businesses with vital business skills.
These courses will be conducted online via Connected Delivery. This interactive and engaging environment will allow for Newcastle Businesses and their employees to connect and learn from one another as well as their expert teachers who all have current industry experience.
Fully funded by City of Newcastle, these courses are Fee-Free and will be commencing in September 2020. Places are limited, so register your interest by clicking on the link below or call 131 601 and mention “City of Newcastle Business Training”.
Eligibility
- Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian permanent resident or Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder
- Be an employee or business owner within the Newcastle LGA
- Students may undertake more than one training course

TRAINING SNAPSHOT
Location: Connected online delivery
Qualification: Statement of Attainment, nationally accredited training (credits from Digital Marketing for Small Business can be used towards a Certificate IV Marketing and Communication BSB42415, or credits from any of the other four skill sets can be used towards a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management BSB42015).
Cost: Fee-free (fully funded by City of Newcastle)
Duration: 9 consecutive weeks per course (2x 4 hr workshops + 4 hr tutorial + 2 hr study session per unit). To commence September 2020
