You will learn the skills and knowledge required to identify, safely catch, control and handle common native wildlife entering clinical environments. This course will cover how to house native animals within a clinical setting, best appropriate to species, how to provide suitable food sources based on species identification, as well as common health reasons for admission to a clinic. It will cover knowledge of controlling the potential risks associated with interacting with animals, including safety procedures to ensure the safety of the handler and the welfare of the animals. This course applies to individuals who are working within a veterinary clinic (all employment levels).
