Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Build caring and supportive relationships with children, youth and families accessing services
Work within a case management framework
Handle records and documentation in line with organisational policy and procedures

A nationally accredited qualification at Diploma level
120 hours of work placement with a suitable industry employer

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Basic computer literacy and access to the internet
The ability to work alone or in groups, and with a variety of different people
A desire to increase your leadership skills
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 10 high school level

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Diploma of Community Services (Statutory & Forensic Child, Youth & Family Welfare) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 8 core and 8 speciality units.
