Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Safely operate a 4WD vehicle on unsealed roads
Use a range of recovery equipment and advanced skills to recover 4WD vehicles in difficult terrain conditions
Configure your 4WD depending on terrain and driving conditions
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

Confidence to safely operate a four-wheel drive vehicle under different conditions and terrain
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
A valid Class C driver's licence
Your own 4WD vehicle with rated recovery points as evidenced by photos
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
An interest in driving and recovering a 4WD vehicle
A responsible attitude and a concern for safety
The ability to follow instructions
The need to obtain qualification for employment or upskilling purposes
