Shear sheep from basic to improver level. Gain shearing techniques and better equipment maintenance skills that will improve the speed and quality of your shearing, allowing you to advance your skills and move to higher levels of competition.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Shear sheep at a basic level
Shear sheep at an improver level
Grind combs and cutters for machine shearing
Inspect shearing equipment, and report and rectify malfunctions
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) while grinding
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
A strong work ethic
A reasonable level of fitness to manage the physical demands of the role
The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
