Overview About this course

Learn the basics of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) to minimise food safety hazards and dispose of chipped or cracked eating, drinking or food handling utensils. Identify and report cleaning, sanitising and maintenance requirements.

Outcomes What you'll gain

Learning outcomes

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

  • Monitor food temperature during preparation using a required temperature measuring device to achieve microbiological safety

  • Use cooling and heating processes that support the microbiological safety of food

  • Ensure hygienic personal contact with food, and food contact surfaces

Licensing

This is a licensed occupation. When you successfully complete the Statement of Attainment in Food Safety Supervision and pay $30 you will receive a NSW Food & Safety certificate. This is accredited by the NSW Food Authority and awarded through TAFE NSW.
