To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
Reached at least 17 years of age so you are able to work in the industry serving alcohol at the completion of your course after you turn 18
The ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
A willingness to do shift work
Good judgement skills

Liquor & Gaming NSW regulates the liquor industry in NSW. TAFE NSW is approved by Liquor & Gaming NSW in the FY 2022/2023 to deliver RSA, RCG, Licensee/Advanced Licensee courses. This course includes electives with licensing requirements that are regulated by Liquor and Gaming NSW. Am RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is required for workers in licensed venues in NSW. Upon successful completion of the Statement of Attainment in Responsible Service of Alcohol, you will be issued with interim certificates for these qualifications. You will need to present these certificates at Service NSW with 100 points of ID within three months to receive your RSA competency card. It's important to note that while you can undertake these units to become job-ready, you will not be able to serve or sell alcohol until you are 18 years old. #Recognition of NSW RSA and RCG competency in other jurisdictions: Responsible service of alcohol legislative and knowledge requirements differ across borders. Check with the relevant state authority to see if your NSW RSA competency is recognised.
