Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Assist with dental radiography
Comply with infection control
Process reusable medical devices
Practise and maintain work, health and safety protocols
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.
Real-world experience through 250 hours mandatory work pacement in industry
Experience of completing of logbooks and projects under supervision
Skills to assist a dentist, dental hygienist, dental radiographer, dental prosthetist, dental therapist or oral health therapist
Skills and knowledge to work across the dental industry
An EPA license depending on whether radiation electives are selected
Some courses require evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 12 Units of competency, including 10 core and 4 speciality units.
