Help preserve our ecosystem by learning how to preserve and rehabilitate our natural environment. Discover how to identify plants, pests and animals and work with national parks to restore bushlands and support conservation projects.

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

  • Sun protection for working outdoors

  • An interest in plants and a passion for contributing to a sustainable world

  • A willingness to work in varied weather conditions

  • Full length trousers, long sleeved tops and closed toe non-slip shoes

  • Gardening gloves and nitrile gloves for chemical applications

  • An intermediate level of fitness to manage physical tasks like preparing the soil, using machinery, kneeling and planting trees and shrubs

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 16 units of competency, including 2 core and 14 speciality units.
