Learning outcomes

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

  • Identify participant needs and personal fitness goals

  • Plan, implement and evaluate strength and conditioning programs

  • Access and use nutritional and dietary information

  • Respond to an emergency situation

  • Perform CPR procedures

  • Implement and monitor infection prevention and control practices

Course outcomes

Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.

  • A nationally accredited Statement of Attainment

  • A pathway to further study in the fitness industry

  • The ability to register with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association as a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach

Entry requirements

This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol

  • Successful completion of the Certificate III in fitness or equivalent, as evidenced by a copy of your transcript or certificate

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

  • Intermediate level fitness to manage physical demands

  • Empathy, patience and the capacity to empower others
