  • To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have:

    • NSW Senior Secondary Certificate or equivalent.
  • The course is designed for students with minimum English language proficiency of International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR) 3, or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.

  • To make sure this is the appropriate course level for you, you will need to participate in a phone interview with one of our teaching staff and complete a written Assessment of Skills

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate IV in English for Academic Purposes qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 6 Units of competency, including 6 core and 0 speciality units.

Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.

Course Delivery Studying Online

Choose when and where you study. Set your own pace, with all your study materials online, allowing you to manage your own workload. Access your learning management system 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is a highly collaborative space that involves more than simply reading and consuming.

You will interact creatively with content, teachers and your peers, improving your overall engagement with the course. Teaching staff are available to provide you with support, enabling you meet your course outcomes.

You may need to attend a vocational placement, on campus assessment and/or a teacher might need to observe and assess you in a real or simulated environment. Online courses require access to a computer with an internet connection.
