To be eligible to enrol in this course you need to meet the following requirements:

  • A teacher will contact you to make sure this is the right course for you. They may ask you to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) profile so that you can be placed into the right class and so that you can access appropriate support if needed.

  • This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.

  • If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee.

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:

  • A desire to pursue further study or vocational training

  • A desire to join the Australian Defence Force (Army, Navy, Air Force and the Reserves)
