Design, Make and Assemble Jewellery in Clay.
The aim of this course in to design, make and assemble jewellery from start to finish.
The materials used will include Porcelain clay with colour stains. They are fired to a high temperature turning the works into pieces as strong as stone.
Egyptian paste, a journey back in time when the Egyptians, sought alchemy to transform base ceramic elements into a substance that simulated precious gems. It is a specialised area and a rare opportunity to discover its secrets.
This course will also teach you how to make your own small moulds so you can keep making those special shapes again and again for those repetitions lovers.
Being a maker for so long requires a big insight into the findings used in assembling such works, come and find out those secrets too.
Chell Jones has been making and selling jewellery for many years.
The cause will run for 3 hour over eight weeks on a Wednesday night 1st May to 20th June.
What to bring to class: Visual diary or drawing pad, drawing materials, pottery tools, closed shoes, apron, no loose clothing.
