Overview

Our Certificate II in Auslan is an introductory, nationally accredited qualification taught by teachers who use Auslan every day.

With 1 in 6 Australians affected by hearing loss and approximately 30,000 deaf Auslan users*, it is more important than ever to be able to communicate in this rich and unique language.

You will learn how to:

- Give and receive simple information in sign language in a number of contexts
- Apply primary principles of learning Auslan as a secondary language
- Convey an understanding of basic cultural and historical knowledge of the deaf community

The Certificate II in Auslan is perfect for people employed in a range of professions that communicate or support people with hearing loss including disability support workers, teachers' aides, aged care workers, nursing and health care workers.
