This growth can be attributed to the burgeoning foodie culture, population growth and an increase in consumer demand. Employment in the industry is set to increase by 12.1% in the next five years, which means an additional 91,000 jobs.

Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned and to identify the knowledge or skills that may need further development. In this course you will undertake theory assessments.
This course is mandatory for anyone who works, or wants to work, as a licensee or approved manager. It allows you to operate a business that closes by midnight and is not located in high risk precinct areas.
To operate a high risk business - one that closes after midnight or is located in a precinct - you will need to complete the standard Liquor Licensee course as well as the Liquor Licensee - Advanced course.
There are no excursions as part of this course; however, you must be already working in the industry and have significant experience.
You will grow your leadership skills through this course, which are key to running a successful licensed business.
The learning and assessment resources for this course are based on current NSW liquor licensing legislation and their application in todays work environments.
This course is theory based with no requirement for a simulated work environment to achieve the outcome.

As the industry changes, new licence types are developed by Liquor & Gaming NSW. This provides great opportunity for people to start a small business and go on to employ their own staff.
This course was developed in partnership with Liquor & Gaming NSW in response to changes in the NSW Liquor Regulation in 2018. As a licensee, you operate in an increasingly complex environment. This course supports you in being successful and complaint in your businesses and provides strategies to contribute to the safety and vibrancy of the local community.
