Statement of Attainment in Chainsaw Operations - Basic Tree Felling

Course Code: 900-5292V01

Overview

Does working in the great outdoors as a Chainsaw Operator or Tree Feller appeal to you? TAFE NSW’s Statement of Attainment in Chainsaw Operations - Basic Tree Felling is nationally recognised chainsaw course that will provide you with competency-based training in the safe use of chainsaws for cutting timber and felling basic trees. You will learn to use a chainsaw in a safe and effective way to crosscut, rip, de-limb and trim logs and felled trees, as well as to fell trees classified as simple, non-hazardous trees relative to local timber size and distribution. Because of the dangerous nature of the work, it is also recommended that you complete a recognised First Aid Certificate in addition to chainsaw training.
