Overview

The Statement of Attainment in Managing Risks & Incidents is a practical, informative short course that covers a range of competencies including managing effective WHS consultation and participation processes, managing WHS risks and investigating WHS incidents. It reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts directly involved in work health and safety. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide work health and safety leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the work health and safety program of the organisation.

During the course you will be achieving the following units of competency:

Manage effective WHS consultation and participation processes BSBWHS502. Manage WHS risks BSBWHS504. Investigate WHS incidents BSBWHS505.

Existing workers who successfully complete this Statement of Attainment in Managing Risks & Incidents are then encouraged to pursue the remaining units of the Diploma Work Health & Safety BSB51315 - a qualification designed by industry professionals, which is ideal if you co-ordinate and maintain an organisation's Work Health and Safety (WHS) program.
