Overview

Looking to kick-start your career in welding? The Statement of Attainment in Introduction to Welding Oxy-Cutting, GMAW, MMAW and GTAW is the perfect route to get you started in the Engineering Fabrication Industry.

This introductory course will provide you with the expertise and knowledge to safely operate oxy-cutting equipment and learn skills for three welding processes. You'll learn how to perform manual heating and cutting, perform routine manual metal arc welding (MMAW), perform routine gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and perform routine gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).

The course is offered part-time in evenings and delivered on a TAFE NSW campus. Students will be required to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE).

Upon completion, you will have the skills for entry into one of our advanced TAFE NSW welding courses which will take you to the advanced level in which ever welding process you desire.

This course is superseded. You can still enrol in this course, and you will be contacted if you need to transition into the next version when it is available.
