Overview

Are you interested in the Engineering Fabrication Industry and looking to seek employment as a Flux Cored Arc Welder? Enrol in the Statement of Attainment in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) to take the first step in your welding career.

The course will teach you the practical skills and techniques linked to the (FCAW) process. You will learn how to join materials in all weld positions, heat, cut and gouge materials, interpret engineering drawings and use a range of hand and power tools/equipment to fabricate metal components. This Statement of Attainment is aimed at accommodating both off-the-job training and on-the-job training and experience.

This welding course is delivered on a TAFE NSW campus, part-time in evenings. Students will be required to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE).

Successful completion of competency units in this TAFE NSW course will enhance your career progression under the Federal Metal and Engineering Industries Award.
