Are you determined to start a career in the metal fabrication or allied engineering industry as a Gas Metal Arc Welder? The TAFE NSW Statement of Attainment in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to get started as a Gas Metal Arc Welder.
This course will teach you the relevant GMAW skills and techniques required to join materials in all weld positinos, heat, cut and gouge materials to size and shape, understand engineering drawings and also use a range of hand and power tools/equipment to fabricate metal components.
The GMAW Statement of Attainment has been developed to accommodate both off-the-job training and
on-the-job training and experiences. The duration of this course is dependent on the competency unit(s) chosen.
Upon successful completion of this welding course, students may continue to higher level qualifications within TAFE NSW, to enhance their career opportunities.
