Overview

This course is designed for people who would like basic knowledge and skills in companion animal behaviour and learning. The units are a combination of Certificate II and III units that can be auto credited into our current offerings of full training package qualifications after successful completion of the course. This course is offered via blended delivery a combination of workshops and/or self-paced study with phone or email support provided by your trainers. It includes 6 hours of face-to-face teaching each fortnight with Adobe sessions offered each month to provide support and further learning materials. Printed resources (workbooks) are provided for you to work though at your own pace and at a time that suits you. There are no industry workplace requirements. The workshops will demonstrate techniques used by behaviourists and trainers to address common behavioural issues, improve welfare and optimise environments. This course will allow you to develop the confidence and basic skills in animal behaviour and learning in a supervised learning environment.

This course is superseded. You can still enrol in this course, and you will be contacted if you need to transition into the next version when it is available.
