This short course is suitable for anyone planning or operating a tourism business with a focus on environmental sustainability. Additionally the course covers risk management with a focus on managing adventure and outdoor tourism activities.

Through a combination of case studies and examples, you will learn about current and emerging trends in environmental sustainability. You will plan ways of balancing the economic viability of an operation with ecological principles and customer education. Outdoor and adventure tourism activities generally create a range of risks and ISO standards will be applied to several case studies. Laws, regulations and land management requirements will be reviewed for the tourism context.
