Statement of Attainment in STCW Certificate of Safety Training (CoST)

This is an AMSA approved qualification and is suitable for those sailing on vessels and presently working in the shipping and the offshore industry. This is also suitable for learners to gain employment overseas on vessels and super yachts. The target group includes:
- Existing workers aiming to revalidate their license - Recreational boat owner/operators, Yachting crew, deckhands, IRs and ER personnel.
An AMSA issued Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) is the mandatory minimum requirement in order to serve on board vessels in international waters. It is not possible to gain employment in the industry without this Certificate. Those wishing to work on an Australian-registered vessel must complete an AMSA-approved course. Please note that many STCW courses offered in Australia are not AMSA-approved and therefore do not qualify you to work in Australia. The CoST certificate issued will be recognised by AMSA as meeting the International requirements.The following certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course:Basic Safety Training (AMSA approved), meeting the requirements of:- Elementary First Aid (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-3)- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-2)- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-4)- Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg VI/1 and Code Section A-V1/1, Table A-VI/1-1)- Security Awareness Training (STCW Reg VI/6 and Code Section A-VI/6, Table A-VI/6-1).
