Learning outcomes

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

  • Paint with techniques appropriate for acrylic paint

  • Develop, practise and refine your individual ideas

  • Incorporate historical and contemporary techniques and concepts into your own paintings

  • Use safe practices when handling equipment, materials and tools

  • Build an understanding of intellectual property considerations

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

  • An interest in exploring acrylic painting

  • An interest in developing a creative practice

  • The ability to supply your own Personal Protective Equipment such as enclosed shoes and apron

  • The ability to supply painting materials

  • Basic literacy and numeracy equivalent to a year 10 level and above

  • Basic computer skills
