Agricultural machinery is getting larger and more automated. As rural workforces scale down, there will be less farm workers carrying out general maintenance, so more reliance on travelling mechanics.

This course focuses on meeting todays rapidly evolving technology advances while preparing for the future. Changing industry, government and environmental standards and ongoing technological advancement mean that you need to be skilled to meet what the future has in store. Agricultural machinery is becoming largely automated, which has led to an increase in electronic controls to ensure safety, and optimisation of crops, eco-systems and farm infrastructure.

Todays demands include technical support for features like automated guidance, electronic steering, automated anti- ground compaction suspension, satellite guided seeding and aeration, electronic automated transmissions and electronic diesel engine management systems.
