Certificate III in Demolition
National Course Code: CPC30413
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of specialist demolition
workers who dismantle and demolish public, residential, commercial and
industrial buildings of all types, and process the resulting materials for
salvage, recycling and waste disposal.
Occupational titles could include:
- Demolition worker
- Demolition plant operator
- Demolition leading hand.
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading
to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated
workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency
to be delivered in this context.
Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National
Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is
required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit
CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to
demolition work in different States and Territories. Candidates are advised to
consult with the relevant regulatory authorities.
