Overview

You will learn how to:

  • Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry

  • Plan and organise work

  • Conduct workplace communication

  • Carry out measurements and calculations

  • Read and interpret plans and specifications

  • Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

  • Safely handle and use scaffolding tools and equipment

  • Erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at basic and intermediate level

    In addition, there are elective units to choose from including:

  • Business operations

  • Materials hoist

  • Erecting and dismantling basic and intermediate scaffolding

  • Working safely at heights

  • Operating elevated work platforms

    Once you have successfully completed this qualification you can become a qualified scaffolder.
