Are you interested in a role that blends construction and creativity? TAFE NSW's Certificate III in Paving will teach you to prepare, cut, lay and finish segmental pavers on a range of sites. You will learn to design and plan the project, carry out excavation, apply basic levelling procedures and prepare the subgrade, base and bedding course for segmental paving, as well as to carry out concreting to simple forms. You will also learn to construct masonry steps and stairs and to implement a retaining wall project.
Although not a bricklaying course, elective units also include the construction of brick and block structures and features, as well as the ability to place and fix reinforcement materials and to drain and dewater a construction site. Enjoy rewarding outdoor work on a range of projects and sites, including projects for the building, home improvement and civil construction industries.
