The Certificate III in Plumbing covers common and specialist areas including mechanical services, roofing and gas services.

Your teachers will be experienced plumbers, and will teach you the latest industry-standard practices and skills, including how to:

  • Use plumbing hand and power tools
  • Work safely on roofs
  • Install water service controls and devices
  • Cut and join sheet metal
  • Install gas appliances
  • Install drainage systems, and more

TAFE NSW teaches this nationally recognised qualification at many locations across the state. A typical plumbing apprenticeship is over four years. You will be paid to study for your Certificate III one day a week with daytime attendance at TAFE NSW.

Please note: The completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction worksite. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
