If your goal is to own and operate your own plumbing business, you will need to continue your study with the Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services.

The Certificate IV focuses on management and supervisory skills to oversee a team of plumbers, either in your own business or as part of a wider team. This specialist plumbing training will also advance your skills in the reading and interpretation of plans and specifications, the identification of hazards and WHS risks, the carrying out of work-based risk control processes, and the estimation and costing of work. Being able to work in these environments will give you hands-on experience in installing hot and cold water pipe services, installing below and above ground drainage services and complements what you will learn in your workplace training.

Some of your practical activities take place in a simulated workshop environment while others take place in your workplace. You will undertake the theoretical component of the course work in our TAFE NSW campus classrooms.
