Assessments give you the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned so far and identify what knowledge or skills need further development. In this course you will undertake:
- Practical assessments to determine hands-on skill development
- Theory assessments for underpinning knowledge

The Certificate III will give you foundational experience and knowledge of roof plumbing. Completing this course as part of your apprenticeship will lead you to become a trade qualified roof plumber.
You will gain hands-on experience in:
- Measuring, marking out and installing roof rainwater components
- Roof sheeting profiles
- Installing fascias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping and flashings
You will learn in workshops and purpose built facilities. Being able to work in these environments will give you hands-on experience with different metal materials for roofs, gutters and downpipes; and complements what you learn in your workplace training.
Some of your practical activities take place in a simulated workshop environment, while others take place in your workplace. You will undertake the theoretical component of the course work in our TAFE NSW campus classrooms.
This qualification is in a high demand skill shortage area of building construction and maintenance.
