Certificate II in Security Operations
National Course Code: CPP20212
Are you an honest, resourceful, responsible individual keen to focus your sense of duty on a career that keeps people safe? TAFE NSW's Certificate II in Security Operations will provide you with the minimum educational requirement for entry-level security licencing, starting you off with essential skills in communication, unarmed response and the ability to provide security services to clients. You will learn how to operate basic security equipment, patrol premises, control entry/exit points and screen items and people.
You will also learn how to work as part of a security team, to monitor and control both individual and crowd behaviour, and to manage conflict by talking. Security officer roles are the fundamental starting point for work in higher protective services and the skills you gain here are skills you will keep for life. You will also qualify for more advanced security courses.
