Pursue your dream of a career in Indigenous cultural arts.

The Certificate III in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts will allow you to prepare for a career in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts sector.

You will learn how to:

- Develop drawing skills to communicate ideas
- Develop an understanding of your Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity
- Develop and apply knowledge of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander cultural arts
- Produce creative work
- Apply knowledge of history and theory to your art practice

In addition, there are a number of elective units which will teach you a range of art and craft techniques and business related skills.

This qualification offers flexible delivery options and allows for Traineeships.

Please note: The local cultural knowledge necessary to achieve some of the units of competency in this qualification may only be accessible to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people. If you are not of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage, you will be expected to work closely with the local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community, for example through establishing a local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander reference group.
