Do you dream of making albums or working on live shows? There are two versions of this Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (Sound Production):

  • AUDIO ENGINEERING. This version focuses on will hone your skills in digital and analogue recording consoles, outboard gear, signal flow, live audio mixing and PA systems, music production software and more. You will explore live sound, and producing professional records with organic bands

  • ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCTION. Explore making records in the computer, and being a professional electronic music recording artist and producer. Hone your skills in music production software, primarily Ableton Live, creating your own original music, beats, top-lines, remixes, synthesis, pitch shifting, time warping, filters and effects, finding your niche as a producer, songwriter and/or DJ, plus much more. If a TAFE NSW campus offers the Electronic Music, you will see it in the location field of the course

Both versions give you the opportunity to produce finished recordings that are ready for distribution. This process helps bring your skills and knowledge up to a more professional level, in the areas of recording, mixing, artist production, collaboration, microphones, monitors, and high level business skills to launch and manage your career.

After successful completion, you may choose to study a degree program, or pursue professional work as a:

  • Recording Engineer
  • Mix Engineer
  • Live Sound Mixer
