Overview

This course is a generalist course and is for people who work in an administrative capacity in local government. You will learn how to perform a variety of administration duties in a council. You will also learn how to work as part of a team and to communicate with a range of people from both
inside and outside of council.

The course covers job areas such as clerical, administration, finance and information technology. The course allows learners to choose from a range of electives that will be relevant to their job function and needs of the council they are employed by.

If you work in a council and want to do this course, you should discuss it with your workplace trainer/supervisor. If you do not work in a council but want to do this course, speak to a TAFE NSW counsellor at the campus running this course for more information.
