Overview

Are you ready to launch your career in maritime operations? The Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Master up to 35 metres Near Coastal) will help you start your career in the maritime industry.

You will learn how to take charge of machinery aboard a sea going vessel, service marine internal combustion engines, propulsion systems and auxiliary systems, as well as how to operate and maintain extra low and low voltage electrical systems and equipment, and operate deck machinery. You will also learn about safety and survival at sea, extinguishing fires and first aid.

Once you successfully complete the Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Master up to 35 metres Near Coastal), you will have the practical skills and knowledge to safely operate a commercial vessel of less than 35 metres in length.
