Certificate III in Manufacturing Technology (CAD/drafting)

This course is designed to help you enter and maintain a career in the manufacturing industry. The course supports the Certificate III in Manufacturing Technology, specialising in CAD/Drafting. You will learn how to use and apply CAD/Drafting skills to assist in the design and making of manufactured products.

A career option in Drafting and Design covers both Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and traditional drafting principles as well as electives in information technology and manufacturing processes and operations. On finishing, you could be employed in a range of roles such as a CAD operator and/or detailed draftsperson.

This Certificate III course has been registered as a Technology Cadetship that should be completed over a one (1) year period. The Technology Cadetship allows you to be employed and to undertake training at TAFE NSW while you learn on the job.

After completing this course there are a number of Technology career opportunities and pathways available to reflect the diverse skills needed in the manufacturing enterprises. For more information contact your local TAFE College.

The eleven (11) units required to achieve in the Certificate III qualification are recognised and given full recognition towards completion of the fifteen (15) units required for the Certificate IV in Manufacturing Technology (CAD/Drafting) qualification.
