The nationally recognised Certificate III in Manufactured Textile Products is designed for apprentices working in the textile fabrication, canvas good or sail making industry. This hands-on course will prepare you to craft and maintain yacht sails, sun shades, PVC and canvas good and other textile products.


Through course work, you will learn how to:

  • Carry out industrial sewing on textile products
  • Identify and select canvas and sail materials
  • Use canvas and sail production tools
  • Translate information into measurements or diagrams
  • Use industry standard design programs
  • Embed environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Work safely and apply quality standards to textile products

  • Computer aided design (CAD) to create basic drawing elements
