Overview

Are you looking to take your fashion design skills to the next level? TAFE NSW's Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising will equip you with the ability to take on assistant design and product development roles in the fashion industry. You will learn high-level skills across the various stages of garment production for product development, including the use of essential industry tools such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology.

You will also gain exceptional ability across the various stages of chain supply management, such as sourcing, buying, store management and visual merchandising. Enjoy working as a product developer, pattern maker, production manager or fashion coordinator in the industry, or use your skills and knowledge as a basis towards more advanced fashion design courses, such as the Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design and Merchandising, where you can progress to a design or business management role.
