This qualification is for people who want to work as a racehorse trainer for a thoroughbred racing stable. You will be independently employed and responsible for organising your own work as well as leading others, and planning for and carrying out tasks of complex and non-routine functions.
As a racehorse trainer you will need to be licensed to operate a business that trains horses under racing industry regulated licensing criteria for the purpose of competing in industry-regulated events.
You will learn how to be responsible for the care, maintenance and racing performance of the animals. You will also learn the skills required to solve unpredictable problems by the analysis and evaluation of available information,
and demonstrate broad knowledge in a variety of contexts including industry rules and legal procedures.
