Do you want an outdoor recreation career? This course is a foundation for a career in guiding and outdoor recreation. The Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation is the industry-recognised entry-level course for employment in outdoor recreation. When you graduate from this course you will be qualified to look for roles as an outdoor guide in a controlled environment. Industry contacts you make during the course help many people into their first roles in the outdoor recreation industry.

Learn how to effectively instruct and guide others in a variety of outdoor recreation businesses and activities, including fishing, horse riding and camping, as well as many land, water and snow sports.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage activities in different terrains, conditions, locations and weather
  • Learn to supervise others and ensure their enjoyment and safety
  • Develop your First Aid skills

This course is delivered by experienced outdoor recreation professionals and is delivered via a combination of on-the-job and classroom learning. There may be an opportunity to do this course as part of a Traineeship.
